06 March 2023

2023 is poised to be another incredible year for animation with films like The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse being the big two to watch this year. However, another mega popular franchise returning to the big screen this year is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The CGI animated film is a first of its kind for Nickelodeon and producer Seth Rogen. The film based on the comic book heroes in a half-shell releases in August, and now we finally know who the voice cast will be.

The voice cast was announced at Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards on Saturday by Rogen and will see Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, and Brady Noon as Raphael. The four turtles will be joined by an all-star supporting cast that will feature Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne (Insidious) as Leatherhead, John Cena (Peacemaker) as Rocksteady, Jackie Chan (Rush Hour) as Splinter, Ice Cube (21 Jump Street) as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, and Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil. The talented cast is rounded out by Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Paul Rudd (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) as Mondo Gecko, Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids) as Cynthia Utrom, and Rogen (The Super Mario Bros. Movie) as Bebop. [Source]

News: Paul Rudd Joins “Only Murders in the Building” Season 3

Paul Rudd has joined the cast of “Only Murders in the Building.”

Hulu confirmed to Variety that he will star in the show’s third season after making a cameo as Broadway star Ben Glenroy in Season 2 finale “I Know Who Did It.” It has not yet been announced whether Rudd will appear in a series regular, recurring or guest capacity.

“Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!” series co-creator John Hoffman said in a statement to Variety. And here’s series co-creator John Hoffman’s answers about Paul Rudd joining the series.

TVLINE | Tell me about casting Paul Rudd as Murder Victim No. 3!
Paul is a good friend of Marty’s and has been for a little while. He also had worked with Selena on a lovely film [for Netflix], The Fundamentals of Caring. And he has revered Steve Martin since he was a kid. He seemed like a logical person to go to with a ridiculous request, which was, “Can you come be in the last five minutes of Season 2, potentially with an option to return [for] Season 3?”

TVLINE | So it’s safe to assume Rudd will return? You won’t just have a body double sprawled out on stage for the entirety of Season 3?
The hope is that he doesn’t get some huge thing that takes him away [from us], but I’m pretty sure we’re in good shape. Our victims play major parts in the season, so we’re really excited to have him be a part of it. [Source]

TVLINE | How did you manage to keep Rudd’s casting under wraps?
I honestly don’t know. I got all excited on one of the days Paul was here. It was actually a costume fitting day [for him], for Episode 10. We had a huge amount of the cast assembled in Bunny’s apartment [when] Paul came by to say hello, so I just said, “This is too good, let’s take a picture!” So we took a picture, and then I was, like, “Oh, no!” I think someone posted it somewhere. Thank God nothing was given away in that picture, but it did get out a little bit. I think people started wondering, like, “Is Paul Rudd just visiting the set to see his friends?”

News: Phase 5 kicks off in 2023 with ‘ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’

San Diego Comic-Con is once again in full swing, and that can only mean one thing: Marvel Studios has returned to Hall H! During the blockbuster Marvel Studios panel at the convention center, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took the stage to thunderous cheers and applause to announce what’s coming next out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in theaters and streaming on Disney+.

Feige revealed that Phase 5 kicks off in 2023 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, opening Feb. 17, 2023. Super Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

But can the cast offer up anything else about the next outing with the Ant-Fam? Well, for starters, as Rudd told the crowd, “Scott is pretty pleased with himself in his role with saving the universe” — he even wrote a book about it titled LOOK OUT FOR THE LITTLE GUY! (Everyone else, though, loves to tease him about it.)

Family’s a big theme for the movie, as the whole cast teased, but when asked about the Scott-Cassie dynamic, considering he was gone for so much of her life, both stars are mum. “Cassie is becoming who she’s supposed to be,” Newton offered up. “And I don’t want to say anything else!” [Source]
